Studio Neptune is pleased to present our twelfth summer art program for students 6 - 11 years old. Every summer a variety of downtown Bethesda businesses are selected for a visit where we can observe their visual components, products and activities. Each week we will visit a different business and for the entire week produce art which is inspired by where we've been. Students will naturally link creativity to a wide range of activities and images that exist everyday in the city.
Our classes meet for three hours M-F and children are encouraged to bring a snack each day. Class times are either 9-12 Noon or 1-4 PM. Please note that each week is planned for specific age groups, not every week is the same. Due to the intimate environment of these classes, enrollment is limited. The program is popular and seats fill rapidly. Waiting lists are available. Registrations are non refundable unless there is someone on a waiting list who can take the seat, in which case a full refund will be made.
Registration will begin on Saturday, February 13th at our Valentine's Day Open House. Doors open at 11:00AM and registration will run from 11:30 to 3PM. After 3PM registrations may be faxed, phoned in or mailed. In addition to your registration you may bring registrations for one other family during our Open House. Please indicate 2nd choices if you can. All classes are $200.00 and include material costs. You will only be contacted if the class you are signing up for has filled, otherwise please assume that your registration was processed successfully.
Summer Art 2010 Policies
Payment is due in full with a completed registration form. Please make checks payable to Studio Neptune. Our mailing address is 5001 Wilson Lane, Bethesda, MD 20814. We also accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express.
Classes are filled on a first come, first served basis. Seats can not be held without payment. Please check with the studio to guarantee that a faxed registration was received by calling 301-718-0809. Our fax number is 301-718-9645.
The studio requests that children are dropped off and picked up on time. The doors will not open more than five minutes before the start of class. Please pick up children at the end of class. The studio is not responsible for children who are not picked up on time.
To maintain a focused studio environment, family and friends are kindly asked to wait outside the studio during class time. You are always welcome to visit our gallery when bringing your child to class but please note that the gallery is not set up as a waiting area.
